AlphaSync has been updated to version 1.3, adding support for Mac OS X 10.4 (“Tiger”) through to Mac OS X 10.9 (“Mavericks”). The utility provides a simple, fast means for writers to backup and access all text files on the AlphaSmart Neo portable computer using simple drag-and-drop or single-click backup options.
The application is a free download, and full source-code is also available on GitHub under a BSD licence.

tSoniq is pleased to announce an update of its Device Firmware Upgrade (DFU) SDK for Mac OS X. The DFU SDK allows the development of applications that can perform firmware upgrades of embedded devices conencted to a Mac OS X computer.
The update provides for improved USB compatibiity for some CSR devices used with first-generation USB3 host hardware. This release is also now ‘Mavericks ready’, and we expect to formally qualify and provide support for Mac OS X 10.

The update improves firmware download performance, includes extensions to PSKEY access for CSR devices and now supports application development using Xcode 4.6.2.
This is a free update for existing users of the SDK.

tSoniq is pleased to announce availability of its new Virtual Display SDK for Mac OS X. The display SDK enables the creation of virtual display heads in software, emulating a true phyical LCD panel.
The virtual display is available from user-mode applications in Cocoa or C++ and includes sample code to record the display content and to provide a simple VNC server. Uniquely, the driver includes acceleration support, providing high-performance update notifications for modified regions of the frame buffer without software overhead.
